Medicaid Waiver
Independence Rising provides resource development and services coordination for qualified medicaid recipients for 39 counties of Central and Southern Nebraska. This program is available for people who:
- are between the ages of 18 and 65 years
- experience a disability
- are Medicaid-eligible, and
- have needs equal to those of Medicaid-funded residents in nursing facilities
Independent Rising staff conduct assessments to determine eligibility and then work with the consumer to provide services in the consumer's home. Services available to consumers on the Medicaid Waiver include the following:
- in-home help
- respite for family caregivers
- transportation
- assisted living
- home modification
