Assistive Technology
Assistive technology devices are items or pieces of equipment that are used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
The Center can help in the following ways:
- Demonstration/Peer Networking
- Equipment Rental/Loan
- Information and Referral for design, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair
Driver Education and Training
The Center is licensed by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles as a Driver Training School. The driver education and training instructors are certified by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles and are able to perform the following services:
- Driver Education and Training Evaluation
- Classroom Instruction
- On-the-road Driving Instruction
- Adaptive Equipment Evaluation and Training
Housing Counseling
The Center assists people with disabilities in locating, acquiring, and maintaining safe, affordable, accessible housing.
